Pen-Y-Dre Mission - Missions work.

As a Church we are currently active in various missions.

In our own country - We cooperate with the other local

Christian churches through the Sunday School Union and Christian Aid.

Our members also financially support the vital work of the Gideons who distribute free Bibles.

AUTUMN 2002 - JESUS VIDEO PROJECT MISSION

During Autumn 2002 every house in our area (nearly 1,000 houses) was offered a free copy of the Jesus video (the most watched film of all time). This was a joint project between ourselves and the Neath Mission. If you live in the area and want a video send us an e-mail or come along to our evening service any Sunday at 6:00 pm or go to the Neath Mission evening service any Sunday at 6:30 pm.

Abroad - Our church financially supports WEC who have Christian missionaries throughout the world.

The Sunday School and the Church sponser two children:

a little boy named Van Chuong Ho in Viet Nam ,

another boy named Abraham Deneke in Ethiopia ,

We sponser these children through the charities World Vision and Compassion and pay for their food, clothing, schooling etc and give gifts and letters.

We have also supported local teams working with Habitat for Humanity - building houses in slum areas - we have helped finance teams in Mexico, Nepal and Uganda.
